New name. New year. New you! My writing has stepped forward to a more serious route. 2017 was a year of organizing and following the proper protocol of order within the realms of my personal inventory. Unfortunately my family: parents, brothers, sisters, husband, self, kids, friends, and animals deserved to be placed high on the list. My house stayed clean, my kids accomplished homework, exploration, activity and music daily, my husband's business (Greenleaf Construction) grew, I turned 40 and our dog aged gracefully while the cat stopped shredding as much furniture. I am rather proud of this accomplishment because I was not sure how to juggle it all. But I did! Now, I am back into it. We are days away from sending parts of our manuscript/proposal to publishers. In December 2017, we granted an interview on the subject of health and jetlag with author and New York Times Magazine contributor, Jon Mooallem he will be presenting alongside other amazing, insightful authors and artists during the Pop-Up Magazine tour that starts 2/1 in San Francisco. Though only East Coast matters for our interest, because that is when he will share in 5 minutes his thoughts on health and jet lag. Wow. What a feat.
The year of 2018 has excitement brewing inside it! I head to New York in February, Mexico in March and Cuba in April. I hope to start a bookclub in May and launch it on my youtube site. I have hopes and you will travel with me to see if any items on my list goes into fruition. I am learning Italian with my daughter, exploring the butterfly in the pool and expanding my position through faith and donation. As part of a couple, along with my husband, I am one of a few producers of a movie about conversion therapy. It should be released this year and I pray it has impact on our community. I continue doing #20pushups everyday to decrease the number of veterans who commit suicide and to raise awareness for PTSD.
Here's to a year that is transformational!
